Unrestricted Entity

BAND BIO

Unrestricted Entity (UE) first emerged onto the corporate rock scene in 2001 and featured a diverse group of musically talented Deloitte Consulting professionals that ranged in age from 30-58.  UE2 re-emerged in 2005 and the bands comeback added more instruments, vocal talent and a more divine set of rock ‘n roll tunes.  Now in its fourth iteration (UE4), the new band, merges a solid mix of vocal harmonies with a wide array of instruments that give UE4 a powerful, classic rock sound that is unmistakably reflected in their performances.

Over the past five years, Unrestricted Entity has played venues such as the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, The Venetian Las Vegas, Embocadaro Park – San Diego, The Rainbow Room – Manhattan, The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, The Waldorf Astoria, 79th Street Boat Basin in Manhattan, Knitting Factory, Manhattan and Hilton Hotel in Chicago. Unrestricted Entity has performed three times at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland in the Finals of the Fortune Magazine Corporate Battle of the Bands in 2006, 2008 and 2010, placing in the top 8 bands internationally on each occasion.

Members:

Our personnel lineup changes from time to time as we like to introduce new members from our employees into the band. Currently, we are: Tom Marriott (drums), Guy Langford, (bass), Frances Messano (vocals), Jed Rosenbaum (vocals), Greg Viola (keyboard), Nick Genoese (lead guitar), Tom Morrison (rhythm guitar and vocals), Matthew Hefner (sax), Darryl Wagner (trombone) and Alan Ludgate (trumpet).

Influences:

Unrestricted Entity has eclectic influences. Several of the band members come from the Classic Rock era of the ’60s and ’70s, as well as more so it is not surprising that several of their tunes come from that timeframe, including Superstition, Long Train Running and Play That Funky Music.  In addition, there is also a more modern side to the band, which includes selections from Green Day, the Counting Crows, Cake, Pink, and Katy Perry. Essentially, UE’s repertoire covers the entire pop/rock/R&B scene from 1965 through to the present.
